Are you an up 'n coming executive or wanna-be rock star looking to own a jet but are a couple of mil' short? Blue Star Jets might be your answer.

Blue Star's come up with a plan that will put you in a private jet passenger seat for a fraction of the cost of outright ownership.

The concept offers a sort of Priceline.com in reverse; travelers seek to minimize costs through a search tool by getting quotes and then sharing private jet flights through ShareAJet Exchange. ShareAJet Exchange allows travelers to share flights to similar destinations. If a trip to the desired destination is not already posted, clients may upload their own travel plans with the aim of matching that with another traveler.

This, "socially-interactive marketplace" lets clients to plan trips together for savings up to 50-percent on private jet travel. Blue Star has access to an extensive network of private aviation operators and negotiates pricing for every flight.

Virtually every category of aircraft are offered, from very light to heavy jets such as 737s, as well as helicopters, and turbo props. Prices vary according to aircraft type.

New York-based Blue Star is one of the country's largest private aircraft charter brokers.
